As we bid farewell to 2024, TDJ Construction complete their final project for the year which comprised of a comprehensive industrial building clear-up as well as a general tidying up of the nearby public highway in Northamptonshire. This project aimed to improve safety, enhance aesthetics, and ensure the area was in prime condition for the coming year. We meticulously cleared out the industrial building, removing debris, and hazardous materials. The space was transformed from a cluttered and potentially unsafe environment to a clean and organized area, ready for future use. Our efforts extended to the adjacent public highway, where we conducted a comprehensive clean-up. This included removing litter, clearing overgrown vegetation, and ensuring that the roadways and pavements were pristine and safe for both pedestrians and vehicles.

We have recently completed the safe removal of a chimney and breast in a property in Northamptonshire. We were asked to remove an unsupported and unsafe chimney as its condition posed a serious risk to the property. The owners sought out our expertise and knowledge to safely remove the hazardous structure and restore the integrity of their home.

Our experienced team approached the task with caution and carefully began dismantling the chimney which we could clearly see was leaning to one side on the roof. We then began the same process to the breast inside the house ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding areas.

TDJ Construction is pleased to announce the successful completion of a recent project in Rothwell. Our team replaced an existing worn driveway with a stunning new gravel driveway and added a gravel path around the house, complete with soak-away drainage installation.

Our team began by carefully removing the old, worn driveway and preparing the ground for the new installation. This included leveling the surface to ensure a smooth and even foundation. We then laid high-quality gravel, ensuring a clean and polished finish that complements the property’s exterior.

In addition to the new driveway, we also installed a gravel path around the house. This pathway not only enhances accessibility but also adds a charming touch to the landscape. We are proud to share one of our recent projects where we carried out some repointing and repairs to a chimney in Northamptonshire. The chimney had suffered from weathering and erosion over the years, and needed some attention to restore its appearance and functionality.

We used a scaffold tower to access the chimney safely and efficiently. We removed the loose and damaged mortar from the joints, and cleaned the bricks with a wire brush. We then applied new mortar to the joints, using a colour-matched mix to blend in with the existing brickwork.

The result is a chimney that looks as good as new, and is ready to withstand the elements for many years to come. Our client was very happy with our work, and we enjoyed working on this project.

Here is another of our recent projects: a brick retaining wall for a customer in Corby, Northamptonshire. The customer wanted to replace the existing wooden sleepers that were rotting and unstable with a more durable and attractive solution. We suggested using high-quality bricks that matched the colour and style of the house, and we designed a wall that followed the shape of the garden. The wall also included drainage holes and a concrete foundation to prevent water damage and ensure stability. The customer was very happy with the result stating that the brick retaining wall greatly improved the appearance of the garden.
